The Purpose For This Blog

The purpose for this blog is to offer encouragement to anyone struggling with their belief in the authenticity of the Bible as being God's inerrant word. So many of our teens and young Christians are confused by what they are learning in public schools, colleges and from our culture in general. There is a constant attack upon the veracity and confidence in the Bible as being the absolute Word of God today. There are those scoffers who make it their business to sow seeds of confusion about the different translations, supposed errors, supposed contradictions etc. in the Bible.
I am hopeful that what we enter here will be a help and encouragement to any who are entertaining honest doubts due to peer and social pressure and or who are seeking the truth about what they can believe, modern science or the Bible.

This blog is not for scoffers to use as a sword rattling page for their skepticism. No profanity or vulgarity will be allowed in any posts. I will state various reasons from time to time as to why I preach the Bible is literally true. I will use various quotes from contemporary Christian leaders and from Christians of the past. The basis of the philosophy I will post here will be primarily of course the Bible itself, then, as a secondary basis I will use quotes from the book written by Dr. W. A. Criswell, "Why I Preach The Bible is Literally True".
I invite honest but limited debate. Please follow the rules of professional debate, 1. Post a statement of belief only related to the Bible as being trustworthy as the literal word of God today.
2. Allow your opposing view to reply before posting again.
3. Be charitable and in the Spirit of Christ with your reply.
4. Reply with facts.
5. Finally, remember the words of William Penn regarding debate:
"
In all Debates, let Truth by thy Aim, not Victory, or an unjust Interest: And endeavor to gain, rather than to expose thy Antagonist."
May our dear Lord help you all to chose to believe His Word.
Until He comes,
Mike Moore
